Practising storytelling, speaking verses and rhymes with gesture, singing a circle game or finding the rhythm of a tonguetwister with your fingertips – this workshop is an invitation to explore the living world of the sounds of speech, with exercises to nurture the voice, develop expressive skills and enrichen repertoire. Clothes and shoes good for moving in are needed.

Tessa Westlake is a voice coach and leader of creative speech workshops. With a degree in Comparative Literature, she trained for five years in speech and drama in London and Dornach, before a life on the road touring internationally to schools and theatres with Ashdown Eurythmy and the Rose Theatre Company. Also trained and experienced in TEFL, she has worked in Waldorf teacher training since 1990, including in Witten, Berlin, Stuttgart, Mannheim and the English Week at Dom Altenberg
