Creative ways of practicing vocabulary and Grammar

This workshop will offer a bunch of activities to spark the teachers’ and students’ imagination. We will look at creative ways of dealing with grammar, vocabulary, literature and poetry and experience a number of activities which are suitable for all ability levels and can also be varied according to content and age group. This time, a main focus will be on the topic of vocabulary work. How can we ensure that our students successfully develop their vocabulary in order to be able to communicate actively and confidently in the foreign language.

Vocabulary is the most important component of language to learn. You can communicate with limited grammar and less-than-accurate pronunciation, but you cannot do so without a lot of vocabulary. (Penny Ur)
